More than just a race, it is a human and sporting adventure, an invitation to push yourself to the limit on demanding and spectacular terrain. This event brings together enthusiasts who share the same values: commitment, solidarity, and the pleasure of sport in the great outdoors. By donning the Portes du Soleil jersey, each participant becomes an ambassador for a unique, cross-border, and deeply authentic region. Kilometer after kilometer, through ascents and descents, the spirit of the Portes du Soleil is conveyed: that of a playground without borders, open to all challenges.

What an honor it is to welcome you, passionate cyclists, to the Swiss roads and trails of the Portes du Soleil!
To be honest, this isn't quite the first time, but the fact that the 2026 Cyclosportive will start and finish in Switzerland is a real novelty and a strong sign of the bond that has united our two countries for more than 60 years, through ski slopes, hiking and mountain biking trails, and of course roads and mountain passes.
Hosting major events is part of the DNA of the Dents du Midi region: we have been putting a lot of energy into it for many years. This includes major cycling events such as last year's Mountain Bike World Championships (DH), the Tour de Romandie, the Critérium du Dauphiné Libéré, the Gravel World Series and the Tour de France, not to mention the traditional Pass'Portes du Soleil.

After seven successful editions of the Châtel Chablais Léman Race, all marked by innovation and sharing, it is time to write a new chapter, on a Franco-Swiss scale, in the heart of the Portes du Soleil.

Like the famous Pass'Portes mountain bike race, our event – now called “La Cyclosportive des Portes du Soleil” – aims to change location every summer. This unique formula will offer cyclists from all walks of life an infinite number of routes and unique experiences year after year.

Our ambition is clear: to showcase an exceptional region, between lake and mountains, and make the event a major economic and tourist driver. On a regional scale, the cyclosportive is thus reaching a decisive milestone. And it is only natural that this first new chapter is being written on the Swiss side, in Champéry, a village resort that has long been committed to the development of the CCLR. Thank you to them, and to the entire Portes du Soleil, for their trust and enthusiasm.

I would also like to express my gratitude to Nicolas Rubin, Mayor of Châtel, who launched the adventure in 2019. Thanks to his initiative and the unwavering support of the municipal services, the CCLR has established itself in the world of cyclosportives and paved the way for many other events that we have organized in its wake. An exceptional human adventure and a wonderful recognition for Châtel, which works tirelessly to promote cycling.

Today, our teams are already hard at work to make this year's event an exceptional one, where each participant will be the center of our attention.
