After seven memorable editions of the Châtel Chablais Léman Race, the Portes du Soleil event returns with a familiar feel… but a course that may well surprise you!
For this first entirely Swiss edition in Champéry, get ready for a unique experience in the heart of Valais, surrounded by unspoiled landscapes and majestic peaks.
You will start with the formidable climb of Les Crozets – Champoussin, as steep as it is intimate, before heading towards Châtel and France. Usually tackled at the end of the race, the Pas de Morgins will come much earlier this time, which is sure to unsettle more than a few cyclists.
This will be followed by a long descent to the Vallée d’Abondance, then the road will take you to Lake Geneva, with its exceptional panoramic views.
The return to Switzerland will be via Saint-Gingolph, followed by an almost obligatory stop at the UCI World Cycling Center, an iconic location for all cycling enthusiasts, for a well-deserved final refreshment break. After this symbolic stop, it’s on to the Montée des Rives.
This high-mountain route connects the iconic resorts of the Dents du Midi in a sporting, festive and perfectly safe atmosphere. A unique opportunity to climb these passes in exceptional conditions.
Every year, a new host resort… and every year, the organizers offer you the best of their terrain and their region. Don’t miss this edition: sign up and experience the mountains by bike like never before.
